Working Families Need Strong Community Services

Our flexible financing helps nonprofits buy real estate, renovate facilities, upgrade equipment, or expand their programming and services. We can also provide short-term loans that bridge the gap between a project and your capital campaign, tax credits, or grant award.

Childcare Providers

Our childcare financing aims to increase the availability of quality childcare and early education opportunities across New Hampshire and Vermont.

Our loans help nonprofit, for-profit, and family providers purchase, build, expand, renovate, or otherwise improve their facilities and programs. We also host award-winning Business of Childcare resources to help providers strengthen their business skills, decrease costs, and increase revenue.

Strong business management is one key to maintaining quality care and financial sustainability. Visit our Business of Childcare Resource Library for articles and tools that support best business practices for boards, directors, and staff.

Affordable Multi-family Housing Developers

We're working to expand both the amount and the quality of affordable rental housing available to families, seniors, and people who need supportive housing.

We support affordable housing developers in N.H. and VT by offering:

  • Important information: Pre-development loans to meet the expenses incurred in assessing development opportunities prior to acquisition
  • Bridge financing to assist in acquiring properties for affordable rental development or improvement
  • Construction and permanent project financing

The Community Loan Fund was the missing piece of the puzzle that made everything click, working with them has allowed our farm business to grow and become profitable enough to bring the fifth generation of the family into the business.

My favorite part of living here is the freedom of ownership. When we first bought the park, I remember my first feeling, that no one could take this away from me. I owned it.

We wouldn’t have succeeded without (the Community Loan Fund). They financed us on terms we could afford, helped us lower our operating costs, and provided stability and security.
