ROC - Capital Improvement Planning

- CIP Community Survey
This document should be distributed to all members of the Cooperative and is meant to provide all community members with a chance to provide input and inform the capital improvement plan preparation.
Instructions:
1) Distribute one survey to each home in your community (via email or printing and dropping off – whichever works best for your community)
2) At distribution, provide members/residents with a deadline to return their completed survey to a board member (or Operations Committee Member). The return deadline should be early enough to allow the board or Operations Committee to review survey responses and decide what will be included in the Capital Improvement Plan and what should be addressed in another way.
3) The board or operations committee reviews all survey responses and notes what is appropriate for including in the capital improvement plan and what requires a different action.
- CIP Systems Worksheet
This document is intended to help you create an inventory of all of your cooperative’s infrastructure’s assets and components.
Instructions:
1) In column A, list all of the components of each system. (For example, for water system that is a well-based system, you would list any pumps, wells, well houses, underground lines, etc.) Add additional rows to each system as needed. Hint: Use the CIP Walk-Around Inventory List to help you
2) For each row, fill in columns B, C, and D as appropriate.
3) If you have cost information, also complete Column E for each row.
4) If you do not have cost information, we encourage you to see estimates from a local contractor. If you are unable to obtain estimates before the August 16 training session, bring what you have.
