Impact Film: The first 100
Becoming a Resident-owned Community, Policy & Advocacy, Resident-owned CommunitiesIn February 2012, using financing and assistance from the New Hampshire Community Loan Fund, the 100th manufactured-home park in NH converted to resident ownership. The Community Loan Fund had launched this movement 28 years earlier when a group of residents in Meredith were threatened with losing their homes because the owner needed to sell the park they lived in. Because of the Community Loan Fund's work, more than 6,000 homeowners in N.H. now have the security of knowing the land won't be sold out from under their homes. This video, produced for the New Hampshire Community Loan Fund by Heartwood Media, tells the story of the First 100.
