Our Next Chapter
Over the past 40+ years, we — along with our lending and investing partners — have delivered over a billion dollars in economic impact to people, businesses, nonprofits, and communities across New Hampshire.
Still, there’s more to do to make sure that every person in the state can fully participate in the economy and society.
What We’ve Accomplished
Here are some highlights from the last four decades.
- Over 11,000 manufactured homes have been secured and preserved
- We invested $14M+ in local farm and food businesses
- 150 manufactured-home resident-owned communities created so far
- Partnered to help 20 nonprofits and schools install money-saving solar arrays
What We’re Doing Right Now
Our mission — to provide systematically excluded people and communities with the financial, human, and civic resources they need to be economically secure — is fulfilled through the seven different services areas we work in today.

Our Plans for the Future
As we move into our next chapter, we have chosen to focus on three strategic priorities during the next five years.
Increase Impact
To address the core challenges facing communities most deeply — especially those faced by people with low incomes — we aim to strengthen healthy and sustainable communities, take a stronger natural resources stewardship role, and increase innovation through our ROC-NH model.
Strengthen Our Abilities
We’re expanding our systems to sustain our approach to impact, create internal structures that foster excellence, and position ourselves to grow our impact.
To accomplish our goals, we’re building capacity, strategically developing our board of directors, positioning ourselves to be a first choice for impact investors, and redefining our visibility and marketing strategies.
Advance Affordable Housing Policy & Advocacy
We are on a path to becoming national thought leaders and trusted partners in advancing the quality of life for those we serve. We’re building capacity to support State and Federal policies and programs that strengthen protections for systematically excluded people.
Our goal is to be the go-to authority on affordable housing, clean-energy solutions, and access to capital for historically underserved people.
Our Updated Brand Expression
Over the years, our organization has evolved and innovated to meet the challenges of the moment. Our rebrand, visual identity update, and new website are all expressions of the modern iteration of New Hampshire Community Loan Fund.
Our new logo reflects who we are as an organization and the spark that led us to launch our version of the neighbors-helping-neighbors model that has benefited people, businesses, nonprofits, and communities across the state.
Rich colors convey our optimistic outlook and the energy that we bring to our work every day. It also grounds us in New Hampshire with rich greens, browns, and touches of gold that can be found when you look across this beautiful place.
Our new website is a tool and source of information for the people we serve. Little details like the custom icons make it feel like us — friendly people ready to work with our neighbors to accomplish great things together.
We are on a trajectory to make the next five years our best ones yet. We have unwavering faith that our neighbors will continue to step up to help build vibrant communities that serve each and every person who calls New Hampshire home.
