Michele Talwani joined the New Hampshire Community Loan Fund in 2020 as its Community Relations Director. She brings with her over 20 years of communications, marketing, strategic thinking, brand ambassadorship, and nonprofit management experience.
Prior, to joining the Community Loan Fund, she worked for 10 years at Families in Transition–New Horizons (FIT-NH), one of New Hampshire’s largest homeless services organizations. There, she held several positions, including the most recent as the Vice President of Communications and Marketing where she was responsible for the development of agency’s marketing, public relations, and communications strategy, including acting as the organization’s media spokesperson. This included the development, integration, and implementation of a broad range of marketing and public relations activities relative to the strategic direction and positioning of the organization, fundraising activities, related businesses, and leadership. In addition, she strategized, planned, and executed the organizations fundraising appeals.  Prior to this role, she was the Vice President of Economic Development and Marketing and was responsible for oversight, strategy and execution of all aspects of fundraising, volunteer management, OutFITters Thrift Stores, and the marketing/communications for the agency and its related businesses.
Prior to joining FIT-NH, she worked for nearly 12 years at the NH Community Development Finance Authority, most recently as their External Relations and Communications Director. For several years, she provided media relations and outreach consultation to the New Hampshire Master Chorale. Prior to that, she was a Marketing Consultant for the New Hampshire Electric Cooperative in Plymouth and a Lecturer in Marketing at Plymouth State University.
Michele earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Master in Business Administration from Plymouth State University. She is a graduate of Leadership New Hampshire.
She was on the Board of Directors of the Community Loan Fund, is the chair of Leadership New Hampshire’s Selection Committee, and is a member of the Yankee Chapter Public Relations Society of America. Previously, she was the secretary on the Board of Directors of the NH Women’s Lobby & Alliance , Chairperson of the Plymouth State University Alumni Association Board of Directors, and on the on the Board of the Yankee Chapter Public Relations Society of America.
