There are many types of planned gifts, and nearly all share the following characteristics:
  • Increased income to the donor
  • Avoidance of up-front capital gains taxes when appreciated assets are used
  • A charitable income tax deduction for a portion of the gift Avoidance of estate taxes
  • The opportunity to make a significant, permanent gift to support the ongoing work of the Community Loan Fund
Life-income gifts provide an immediate income tax deduction for a portion of the gift. The exact percentage of the deduction depends upon the age of the income beneficiaries, the type of gift involved, the rate of return, and market conditions. You can name the New Hampshire Community Loan Fund the beneficiary of your life insurance policy, or simply name us as a beneficiary in your will.
It is frequently advantageous to donors to make a gift of appreciated securities. In most cases, the full market value of the securities is deductible, while capital gains taxes are eliminated.

Many of our supporters have honored loved ones by creating, or contributing to, Named Permanent Funds. They can be opened with a $100,000 gift, or a combination of gifts totaling that amount. These funds make loans available for worthy community projects now and in the future. In turn, those loans generate income to support the Community Loan Fund's ongoing program costs. Current funds are:
Donations of digital currency, also called cryptocurrency or virtual currency, will be immediately sold by the Community Loan Fund.
