ROC-NH hopes you'll join us in online trainings on a variety of ROC-related topics throughout spring 2023. All are free, open to all co-op residents and board members, and will take place via Zoom. In small groups, practice discussing solutions to common ROC problems.

Learn the roles and responsibilities of board members and discuss the corporate structure of a cooperative and governing documents.

This training will provide board members with:
Review the rules enforcement policy, learn to screen rule violation complaints, and uphold the rules in a fair and consistent way.

Gain a deeper understanding of the recommended rules enforcement committee policy, a procedure to follow in the event of a rules violation or complaint, and the templates necessary to follow through with monthly reports to the board. The primary goal for rule enforcement is to screen rule violation complaints from members and uphold the Community Rules in a fair, even-handed and positive manner.
Join us on consecutive Wednesdays to learn about ROC Essentials. Formerly ROC 101, this training will cover the basics of running a ROC. Great for residents and board members.
6-8 p.m.
This two-part training is excellent for anyone new to resident-owned communities ore looking for a refresher. We will cover the basics of ROC governance, cooperative principles, and how to read your financial documents. You will also practice in small groups solving some common ROC problem scenarios. This is a mandatory training for Community Leadership participants and open to anyone.
Understand the importance of financial oversight for your co-op. Create an effective policy and review financial reports and tools.

Develop what could be used as a finance committee policy. Identify the financial reports that serve as tools to the finance committee or treasurer and other board of directors.
