Disaster Recovery Underway, Urgent Help Needed

Removal of dangerous trees - top fundraising priority.

Over 900 trees were identified as damaged or dangerous in the wake of the storm. 50 homes were damaged by tree fall, 10 rendered completely unlivable. Working with their partner McClure's Tree Service, they have removed 400 trees so far - exhausting their capital reserves. With no Federal or State level assistance, critical progress has halted.

Why is tree removal so urgent?

The looming impact of snow, ice, and wind will mean that more trees will fall on homes – a crisis we hope to avoid. $260K has been spent by Tanglewood on tree removal, they need another $250K to remove the remaining unsafe or damaged trees, of which more than 500 have been identified.
