The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, personable, and strategic, with experience in event planning, donor engagement, and nonprofit development.
Reports to: Vice President, Investor & Donor Relations
Program FLSA status: Non-exempt
Salary range: $55,000 to $60,000, depending on experience
Major Responsibilities/Accountabilities
The Events & Engagement Coordinator’s work is organized into three core areas:
1. Event Planning & Production
- Support the planning of fundraising and special events throughout the year, including but not limited to:
Annual meeting- Board retreat
- Supporter engagement events including business receptions, private residence gatherings, and bus tours
- Program events, such as our Community-Driven Economic Empowerment (C-DEE) Annual Celebration
- Borrower celebrations, including ribbon cuttings
- Mission-awareness events for policymakers and other stakeholders
- Execute production for events, including:
- Creation of event concept and briefing materials
- Budgets
- Task lists
- Production schedules and day of run-of-show
- Coordinate venue selection, catering, décor, entertainment, AV, parking/valet, and other vendor services
- Collaborate with event hosts and internal teams to ensure event success
- Lead, manage, and support event staff, volunteers, and external vendors
- Provide direction and training to event staff and volunteers during events
- Work with colleagues to identify and solicit new event sponsors and in-kind donations and manage event sponsorship deliverables
- Track RSVPs, attendance, contributions, and other information for events in Salesforce
- Prepare post-event reports, supporter engagement summaries, new-to-file prospect lists, and ROI analyses
2. Event Communications
- Work with Philanthropy and Marketing & Communications teams to develop and execute event communication plans, including:
- Save-the-dates
- Invitations (print and digital)
- Event reminders
- Programs and signage
- Social media promotions
- Event recaps and thank-you communications
- Ensure outstanding guest experiences through proactive, high-touch communication and customer service
3. Supporter Engagement and Administrative Help
- Facilitate the processing and distribution of supporter welcome packets to ensure new donors and supporters receive timely acknowledgment and engagement materials
- Write personalized thank-you cards and other stewardship touchpoints to strengthen donor relationships and demonstrate appreciation for philanthropic support
- Support investor and donor stewardship efforts by coordinating with the Development Manager and Investor Relations Manager on acknowledgements, recognition activities, and engagement opportunities for supporters at all giving levels
- Support donor communications and cultivation activities, including mailings, impact updates, and event follow-up correspondence
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
- 2 to 3 years of professional experience in event planning, fundraising, or nonprofit development recommended
Qualifications and Characteristics
- Demonstrated success in planning and executing both fundraising and stewardship events
- Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills including strong attention to detail
- Maintain discretion and confidentiality with sensitive donor and financial information
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize deadlines, and work both independently and collaboratively
- Experience managing event budgets and tracking financial performance
- Experience supporting donor stewardship, gift acknowledgment processes, fundraising operations, or donor relations activities preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including professional proficiency in Excel) and donor databases (Salesforce experience is a plus)
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends

- Ability to use a computer for Community Loan Fund business
- Ability to drive for extended periods, both day and night
- Ability to walk for extended periods on various terrains
- Ability to lift or carry at least 25 pounds
Work Environment
Location: Hybrid (required days in Concord, NH office on Tuesday and Wednesday)
