Loan Support Specialist

The Loan Support Specialist will support the credit administration and small business teams for performing routine servicing functions, including but not limited to facilitating loan closing process to include preparation of closing documents, responding to borrower requests, processing payments, preparing reports, electronic file maintenance, tracking insurance, general data entry, and responding to internal staff inquiries. 

Reports To: Senior Credit Administrator

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Major Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

Design and Creative Production

  • Assist with processing of loan servicing transactions including, but not limited to, maintaining borrower ACH list, posting loan payments, processing payoffs, developing payoff letters,  updating information in the loan servicing systems, as directed.
  • Investigate and resolve issues related to loan servicing, insurance requirements, billing, and payments, escalating more complex issues for assistance in resolution, as needed.
  • Assist with monitoring required insurance and update information in the servicing system, as directed.
  • Review newly closed loans and modified loans to ensure system set up and data integrity.
  • Support collateral management ensuring data integrity across systems.
  • Prepare and record partial releases of real property.
  • Support covenant monitoring and management.
  • Assist borrowers in resolving servicing issues, escalating complex issues to Sr. Credit Administrator or Senior Management.
  • Participates with Senior Credit Administrator, relationship managers, and other credit representatives on both internal and external customer calls as appropriate.
  • Helps support the Senior Credit Administrator with loan closings to ensure they are processed accurately and timely.
  • Provides exceptional assistance and support to all program lenders in answering questions relating to current loans in the portfolio.
  • Provide a high level of support to borrowers, internal colleagues, and external servicing partners in a professional, highly responsive, and accurate manner.
  • Assist with facilitating monthly meetings to ensure all required reports have been provided.
  • Perform other duties as may be deemed necessary. 

     

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience and minimum 2 year’s experience in commercial banking or loan servicing.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills including presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and work habits that support involvement in multiple areas and tasks at one time.
  • Ability to utilize computer systems, personal computers and Windows driven programs.

Qualifications

  • Assists Senior Credit Administrator in preparation of loan documents, reports, and other functions as needed.
  • Maintains a current understanding of and complies with Reg B – Fair Lending, Community Reinvestment Act, HMDA, Bank Secrecy Act, Suspicious Activity Reporting, CIP, Gramm-Leach Bliley Act – information privacy, and OFAC regulations.
  • Solid organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to timely manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment in order to meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated individual contributor as well as flexible team player.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • This is a hybrid work position with some days in the Concord and Littleton office, as required, and some with the ability to work remotely.

The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hand to finger, handle, and reach with hands and arms above shoulder height, stoop, kneel, and crouch. Specific vision abilities required in this job include the ability to adjust focus between near and far.

  • Ability to answer telephones and use standard office equipment (copier, fax, etc.).
  • Ability to read, write, and understand and speak English clearly.
  • Ability to use a computer for Community Loan Fund business.
  • Ability to left at least five pounds

 

Employment Details

  • Location: Concord, NH and hybrid (in office Tuesday and Wednesday; training will be in person)
  • Salary range: $48,000 to $55,000
