Mortgage Loan Coordinator

The New Hampshire Community Loan Fund is looking for a Mortgage Loan Coordinator to supports its Welcome Home Loan Team. The person in this position works closely with the Welcome Home Loan Team to ensure timely and reliable processing of borrower files by providing accurate data entry and superior customer service. This position also provides back-up support to other team members as needed. 

Reports To: Vice President of Lending

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Major Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Support our team of Loan Originators by processing approved loan applications from approval through closing, ensuring all loan conditions are satisfied in accordance with underwriting, regulatory, and organizational requirements.
  • Communicate with borrowers as needed to request documentation, clarify conditions, and provide status updates while ensuring Loan Originators remain the primary point of contact throughout the application process.
  • Prepare and deliver all federally required loan disclosures and ensure borrower acknowledgment within required timelines.
  • Coordinate and order third-party services, including appraisals, legal services, flood determinations, and other vendor services; obtain quotes as needed and ensure prompt payment of related invoices.
  • Collect, review, and verify borrower documentation, including assets, credit, income, and employment, to clear loan conditions and prepare loan files for closing.
  • Prepare loan commitment letters, adverse action notices, and other borrower correspondence as required.
  • Prepare pre-closing and construction- related loan documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Collect and process credit reports, appraisal, and other applicable borrower paid fees.
  • Maintain accurate and complete loan files by entering data and uploading documents into the Byte loan origination system.
  • Monitor the approved loan pipeline to ensure timely closings; proactively identify document deficiencies and communicate status updates or issues to Loan Originators and internal team members.
  • Adhere to all regulatory requirements, internal policies and established team deadlines.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and assist with documenting and implementing updated procedures.
  • Cross-train on other lending and servicing functions and provide backup support as needed.
  • Participate in required compliance and regulatory training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of Community Loan Fund strategies and goals. 

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three-five years’ experience in the mortgage industry
  • Familiarity with loan documentation, disclosures, and servicing software required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) and navigating software remotely.

  • Self-motivated individual contributor as well as flexible team player
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and across organizational programs.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and hear. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hand to finger, handle, and reach with hands and arms above shoulder height, stoop, kneel, and crouch. Specific vision abilities required in this job include the ability to adjust focus between near and far.

  • Ability to answer telephones and use standard office equipment (copier, fax, etc.).
  • Ability to read, write, and understand and speak English clearly.
  • Ability to use a computer for Community Loan Fund business.
  • Ability to drive for extended periods, both day and night.
  • Ability to walk for extended periods on various terrains.
  • Ability to lift at least five pounds.

Employment Details

  • Location: Concord, NH and hybrid (in office Tuesday and Wednesday; training will be in person)
  • Salary range: $58,000 to $63,000
