The Events Coordinator is an important member of the Philanthropy team. They are responsible for planning, organizing, and executing a wide range of supporter and stakeholder engagement events designed to generate revenue, enhance supporter relationships, raise awareness of the organization’s mission, and connect with our borrowers. This individual will lead all aspects of event logistics—from venue selection and vendor management to guest communications and budget oversight—while collaborating closely with Philanthropy colleagues and other key staff. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, personable, and strategic, with a background in event planning and execution.

Reports To: Philanthropy Engagement Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Major Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • In collaboration with the Philanthropy team, plan, implement, and manage all fundraising and special events throughout the year, including but not limited to:
    • Annual Meeting
    • Borrower celebrations, including ribbon cuttings
    • Regional supporter engagement events including business receptions, private residence gatherings and bus tours
    • Program events, such as our Community-Driven Economic Empowerment (C-DEE) Annual Celebration
  • Lead event timelines, task lists, production schedules, budgets, run-of-show, and other logistics.
  • Coordinate venue selection, catering, décor, entertainment, AV, parking/valet, and other vendor services.
  • Collaborate with event hosts and internal teams to ensure event success.
  • Organize speakers including writing talking points and developing scene setters for senior staff.
  • Coordinate with supporters, sponsors, and volunteers.
  • Work with colleagues to identify and solicit new event sponsors and in-kind donations.
  • Manage event sponsorship deliverables.
  • Ensure outstanding guest experiences through proactive, high-touch communication and service.
  • Work with the Philanthropy and Marketing and Communications staff on event communications, including:
    • Event concept
    • Save-the-dates
    • Invitations (printed and digital)
    • Event reminders
    • Event programs and signage (printed and digital)
    • Social media promotions
    • Event recaps and thank you notes
  • Develop and implement a strategic communication timeline for each event.
  • Track RSVPs, actual attendance, contributions, and expenses for all events in Salesforce.
  • Oversee event follow-up, including accurate acknowledgements, thank you notes, benefit fulfillment, and vendor invoices.
  • Prepare post-event reports, donor engagement summaries, new-to-file prospect lists, and ROI analyses.
  • Lead, manage, and support event staff, volunteers, and external vendors.
  • Provide direction and training to event staff and volunteers during events.
  • Assist the development team with other supporter engagement and cultivation efforts as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
  • 2-3 years of professional experience in event planning, fundraising, or nonprofit development recommended.
  • Demonstrated success in planning and executing both fundraising and stewardship events.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills including strong attention to detail.
  • Maintain discretion and confidentiality with sensitive donor and financial information.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize deadlines, and work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Experience managing event budgets and tracking financial performance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including professional proficiency in Excel) and donor databases (Salesforce experience is a plus).
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.

Specific vision abilities required in this job include the ability to adjust focus between near and far.

  • Ability to answer telephones and use standard office equipment (copier, fax, etc.);
  • Ability to read, write, and understand and speak English clearly;
  • Ability to use a computer for Community Loan Fund business;
  • Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.

Employment Details

  • Location: Concord, NH and hybrid (in office Tuesday and Wednesday; training will be in person)
  • Starting Range: $55,000-$60,000
