Exeter TV: New Energy Solutions for Town's Manufactured Home Owners
"The Town of Exeter's Energy Committee and Planning Department have secured a U.S. Department of Energy Grant to help fund energy efficient upgrades for low-income residents. We have partnered with ROC-NH, Resilient Buildings Group and Unitil/NHSaves to secure funding to help reduce home energy cost through installation of energy efficient measures. These grant funds can be used for a variety of efficient upgrades like HVAC upgrades, insulation, air-sealing, water heater upgrades, programmable thermostats, and more."
Elise Foerster, energy project specialist for ROC-NH, was featured in the video and noted: "The New Hampshire Saves Program is through the utility companies... all of them in New Hampshire. And then the town of Exeter received an additional $200,000 grant from the Department of Energy to further subsidize the income-driven route of the New Hampshire Saves program."
If you qualify for their income eligible program these improvements may be free to you. If you are a resident of a ROC and live in the following communities, reach out to the town's Conservation and Sustainability Planner Kristen Murphey at (603) 418-6452.
