More financial aid available for NH homeowners
Buying a Manufactured HomeHelp has arrived for New Hampshire homeowners who experienced financial hardship during the pandemic.
Homeowners with low incomes might now qualify for financial aid — up to $40,000 in mortgage assistance, $40,000 in property charges default assistance, and up to $5,000 in utility/internet assistance — to prevent home foreclosure, homeowner displacement, or loss of utilities or home energy services.
Many of our Welcome Home Loan borrowers are eligible to receive this assistance to help them retain their homes and get back on the path to financial well-being.
The NH Homeowner Assistance Fund web portal has a questionnaire that can help you determine whether you’re eligible, and you can apply without leaving the site. The portal is available in several languages, and people having difficulties with it can get help from AHEAD, by calling (800) 974-1377 ext. 1014.
The Community Loan Fund also offers an Easy Assistance Program to Welcome Home Loan borrowers who need solutions and support. Visit the website or call (888) 925-1982.
