Loans and education create opportunity and transform lives
The Community Loan Fund seeks out those places in New Hampshire’s economy where the right types of financing – or the right combination of loan plus education, training, or technical advice – can open doors of opportunity for people with low and moderate incomes.
Manufactured housing
ROC-NH™ helps homeowners and landlords to convert manufactured housing parks into communities that are cooperatively owned and governed by residents. ROC-NH’s fixed-rate financing, educational and technical assistance help homeowners build equity, create stability, develop leadership and strengthen their resident-owned communities.
Homeowners in (or buying a home in) resident-owned communities can get fixed-rate purchase, refinance, cash-out refinance, and home equity loans through our award-winning Welcome Home Loans.
Small business
Our business financing support the creation and retention of quality jobs in New Hampshire by offering loans, investments and training to self-employed workers and owners of small businesses, including those considered too small or too risky for other lenders.
Matched savings accounts
Individual Development Accounts provide a three-to-one dollar match and financial training to help people with low incomes save for a home, business, vehicle or education.
Child care
We loan to non-profit and home-based providers of child care and early education to help them buy or upgrade facilities to meet the needs of the children, families and communities they serve. We also offer training and support on the business of child care.
Community facilities
New Hampshire’s network of nonprofits provides essential, locally based services. We offer timely, flexible financing to help them purchase or upgrade their facilities to better serve community needs.
Community housing
We fill critical gaps in the complex system by which affordable housing is financed and offer technical assistance to nonprofit housing developers across New Hampshire.
Energy
We work with government and private partners to make loans and grants for energy-efficiency and renewable-energy projects available through our programs.
Policy
We work on the state and federal levels to ensure that laws and policies encourage economic opportunity for low- and moderate-income people in New Hampshire.
